After scheduling: You will be billed for the full amount, and will then be reimbursed by your insurance if it covers out-of-network services.

Services

  • Individual 60 minute sessions

These as-needed or regular appointments are used to address your identified goals. The time can be used to focus on a current crisis, previous life events, or ongoing negative thoughts and emotions.

Sessions will be completed in the Sisters or Bend office or via the practice’s confidential video platform.

  • Recent and past trauma

When our nervous systems experience something stressful our bodies can get stuck in the moment or easily brought back to it. An example of this event could be a car accident, an abusive relationship, or the chronic stress of a job.

By using trauma interventions you create space between yourself and the trauma; allowing you to have choice in when and how you think about it.

  • Communication and relationship skills

When we are able to identify what we need and how to communicate effectively in relationships we create greater intimacy and more stability.

In focusing on gaining this skill you will learn about your attachment patterns, how to connect to and understand yourself, methods for communicating, and how to create connection that is safe and lasting.

  • Kids and families

Your child will have individual 60 minute sessions. In addition to this there will be phone calls with family to gather information and provide parent coaching. The treatment plan will incorporate appointments where family members join for part of the session, the whole session, or have separate appointments or phone calls.

The family’s involvement and willingness to make changes is expected and crucial.

  • Parenting

Due to your child’s age, family history, and your own experience of your child’s behavior a treatment plan may incorporate individual sessions for you as a caregiver.

This time will focus on your own responses, relevant past experiences, and identifying modifications you can make as a parent to support your child.

  • Groups & Intensives

The Roost Counseling hopes to offer groups and intensives in the next year. If you have interest please contact the practice via email.

Groups will focus on skill development and peer support.

Intensives will be extended sessions for individuals that will focus on trauma processing (EMDR) and focused goals. This will benefit clients who prefer a full day or weekend of services versus ongoing appointments.
